FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL FILING REQUIREMENTS:

96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG

48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel
arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.

24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to
Customs & Border Patrol AMS. Bond must be filed for Foreign flag vessels
or U.S. flag arriving with foreign cargo aboard.

24 Hours – advance notice to Pilots

24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by
Terminal.

72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading
figures for all bulk cargo.

Port Security - All persons doing business within Port Authority property
must have security pass from SCPA.

NEWS ARTICLES: (5/23) Demurrage Rate Reduction Extended to June 30

Clients of the Port of Charleston please be aware that the Ports Authority
has exteneded its temporary Tier 1 dermurrage discount through the end of
June. On February 1, 2008, the South Carolina State Ports Authority
reduced Tier 1 demurrage charges for loaded export non-reefer containers
from $12.50 per TEU, per day to $10.00 per TEU, per day through May 31,
2008. The change amounts to a 20% reduction. This discounted rate has been
extended to June 30, 2008. Thank you for your business and continued
interest in the Port of Charleston.
