The bridge is currently in the closed-to-navigation position. Crews are assessing the extent of the damage and will provide an estimated repair time as soon as they are able. The bridge has vertical clearance in the closed position of 6 feet above mean high water. Vessels able to pass through the bridge in the closed position may do so at any time. The bridge will not be able to open for emergencies until repaired.

There will be a threat for thunderstorms  near and ahead of the cold front today, generally in the  vicinity of the Gulf Stream. Mariners should use caution as the  stronger thunderstorms can produce very gusty winds and very  rough seas. Otherwise, the cold front will clear E of the region  tonight, with high pressure building E across the waters tonight  into Tue night, and then shifting E of the area early Wed.  Another strong cold front will approach the coast Wed, while a  warm front lifts N across the waters. The strong cold front will  move offshore and then move quickly E over the area Wed night  into Thu, clearing E of the waters by Thu night. High pressure  will build E toward the southern waters Thu night as a secondary  cold front drops S into the northern zones. The high will move E  across the waters Fri and Fri night as the front slips E of the  area.    $$
