The front will become stationary across the northern waters Sat night, then move slowly S as a cold front through Mon night while low pressure tracks E along the boundary. High pressure will build NW and then N of the region today into Sat, and then shift NE of the area Sat night. Another high will build NW and N of the area Sun into Mon night. Tropical Storm Ian was located near 28.7N 80.4W at 11 AM EDT and was moving NNE at 08 kt. Ian is forecast to restrengthen to a hurricane and move to near 30.0N 79.9W at 8 PM EDT tonight, then move to near 31.8N 79.8W at 8 AM EDT Fri morning. Ian will weaken to a tropical storm while moving inland over South Carolina to near 34.0N 80.3W at 8 PM EDT Fri night. Ian will move NW and become a post-tropical cyclone over North Carolina Sat morning, before dissipating Sun morning.
