In support of the power line raising project, next week's Cape Fear River closures are scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
(Oct 1-3), with a backup day on Friday, Oct 4th. The closures will last from 7:30AM - 5PM each of those days. Vessels with less than 30' air draft may be permitted to pass through the zone approximately every 2 hours. All other vessels will be able
to pass unrestricted at the conclusion of the workday.
If you have questions about this waterway closure or safety zone, you can email myself or
ncmarineevents@uscg.mil, or you may also contact the Sector North Carolina Command Center at (910) 343-3882.
