<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">1. A weak low pressure system located about 100 miles south-southwest
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, is producing disorganized shower
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">activity, mainly to the east of the center. Strong upper-level winds
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">are expected to increase further over the system today, and the
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">chances for tropical cyclone formation are decreasing. The low is
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">forecast to move north-northeastward along or near the North
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Carolina coast later this morning, and it could produce scattered
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">showers and dangerous surf and rip currents across eastern North
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Carolina as it passes by. The low is expected to move northeastward
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">and merge with a frontal system or dissipate offshore of the New
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">England coast on Thursday. For more information, please see products
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">from your local National Weather Service office.

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">2. Thunderstorm activity has increased and become better organized in
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">association with the remnants of Kirk located about 650 miles east
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">of the Windward Islands. Recent satellite-derived wind data also
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">indicate that the circulation has become better defined and that the
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">winds have increased. If this development trend continues, then
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">advisories will be re-initiated on this system later this morning.
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Interests in the Windward and Leeward Islands should monitor the
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">progress of this disturbance. An Air Force Reserve reconnaissance
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">aircraft is schedule to investigate this disturbance later today.

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">3. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie centered about 850 miles west-southwest
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">of the Azores is producing disorganized shower activity and
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">gale-force winds. Leslie is expected to reacquire subtropical or
<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">tropical characteristics on Thursday or Friday while the cyclone
