<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Florence, approaching the North Carolina coast, on newly downgraded

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Tropical Storm Helene, located over the eastern Atlantic Ocean, on

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Tropical Storm Isaac, located near the Lesser Antilles, and on

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Subtropical Storm Joyce, located about 1000 miles west-southwest

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">of the Azores.

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New""> 

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">1. A weak low pressure center has formed a couple of hundred miles

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">east-southeast of Brownsville, Texas.  In addition, showers and

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">thunderstorms in association with this system have become more

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">numerous today.  While upper-level winds are generally conducive for

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">development of a tropical depression, the system only has about a

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">day before it reaches the western Gulf coast.  An Air Force Reserve

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">Hurricane Hunter aircraft is currently en route to investigate the

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">low.  Regardless of development, heavy rainfall and gusty winds are

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">expected across portions of northeastern Mexico and Texas on Friday

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">and Saturday.  Interests there should monitor the progress of this

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New"">system, and refer to products from their local weather office.
