<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The North Carolina National Guard (NCNG) will utilize the port facilities in Wilmington and Morehead City for a training exercise, designed to test the capabilities and coordination of local, state and federal agencies responding to an emergency. Local area residents will notice military, emergency response and law enforcement vehicles in the area, as well as National Guard troops in full military uniform. The drill also involves the use of military helicopters. Local residents should not be alarmed, as it is only an exercise.

<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The NCNG will work with the NC Emergency Management Eastern Branch, Brunswick County Emergency Management, New Hanover County Emergency Management, the New Hanover County Sherriff’s Office, the Wilmington Police Department and the State Crime Lab during the exercise.
