<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">Wilmington — Governor Pat McCrory has named Tom Adams of Brunswick County the next chairman of the North Carolina State Ports Authority Board of Directors.

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">"We look forward to Tom Adams' leadership as he takes on this new role within the Board, and we trust in his ability to advance the goals of the North Carolina State Ports Authority," Governor McCrory said. "Our ports are a tremendous resource for the state, providing thousands of jobs and continually attracting potential businesses."

He serves on the Brunswick County Economic Development Commission, the South Brunswick Islands Small Business Alliance, the South Brunswick Islands Rotary Club and the Cape Fear Council Boy Scouts of America Executive Board.
