Notice:

<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">

<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">The Captain of the Port (COTP) North Carolina intends to maintain Modified Port Condition Whiskey for all navigable waterways in the North Carolina COTP Zone in response to Tropical Storm Andrea.  Based on the current forecast, the Captain of the Port does not intend to increase the Port Condition any further and anticipates setting Port Condition Seasonal Alert some time Friday night or Saturday morning.

<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">As before, pleasure craft are advised to seek safe harbor and all vessels are advised to use caution when transiting the area.  Vessels at anchor or moorings should prepare for heavy weather accordingly and be ready to set Port Condition Whiskey in a reduced timeframe if weather conditions deteriorate.

<span-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Times New Roman","serif"">For guidance on specific issues, the Severe Weather Plan may be obtained via the Internet at http://homeport.uscg.mil.  Select North Carolina in the Port Directory.  Please look under the “Local Contingency Plans” header selecting the “Sector NC Port Stakeholder Severe Weather Plan” link.
