24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS. Bond must be filed for Foreign flag vessels or U.S. flag arriving with foreign cargo aboard.
24 Hours - advance notice to Pilots
24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Terminal.
72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.
Port Security - All persons doing business within Port Authority property must have security pass from GPA. All persons wanting unescorted access to any vessel must have a valid TWIC.

with port activities since his logistics appointment in January 2012. Bradshaw appointed Jeff Strader as Deputy Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer.

for that cargo for the Port's newest ocean carrier, according to an official with Grieg Star's Mobile, AL office. Since starting service between Morehead City and Chile in February, Grieg Star has consistently loaded truck trailers, campers and other kinds
of wheeled equipment and machinery for export. The primary cargo exported to Chile from Morehead City by Grieg Star is steel billets with nearly 44,000 tons exported in fiscal year 2012.

a repeat customer with a different commodity. Smurfit Kappa is exporting a second shipment of Kraft liner board from a paper mill in Florida over Morehead City to Chile, and just booked another shipment in September. The Norwegian shipping line, GreigStar,
started the South American service at Morehead City in February for the steel billets. Smurfit Kappa first exported from Morehead City in May. Like the steel billets, the paper rolls are brought in by rail car. Smurfit Kappa is one of the leading producers
of paper-based packaging in the world.
