FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL FILING REQUIREMENTS:

96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG

 

48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.

 

24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to Customs & Border Patrol AMS.  Bond must be filed for Foreign flag vessels or U.S. flag arriving with foreign cargo aboard.  24 Hours - advance notice to Pilots

 

24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by Terminal.

 

72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading figures for all bulk cargo.

 

Port Security - All persons doing business within Port Authority property must have security pass from GPA.  All persons wanting unescorted access to any vessel must have a valid TWIC.

ISABEL S. HOLMES BRIDGE CLOSURE

June 4, 2012

Mariners are advised that Isabel Holmes Bridge, at mile 1.0, located on the Northeast Cape Fear River, in Wilmington, North Carolina, will be closed to navigation from June 4, 2012 through June 8, 2012 from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m., openings will be provided during these draw closure times if a 3 hour notice is provided to the bridge tender. All other times the bridge will open as scheduled. The North Carolina Department of Transportation will be performing mechanical repairs to the center locks of the bridge. The vertical clearance of the bridge in the closed position is 26 feet above mean high water, vessels able to pass the bridge in the closed position may do so but should extreme caution.
