FEDERAL, STATE & LOCAL FILING REQUIREMENTS:

96 Hours - advance notice of arrival required by USCG

48 Hours - advance receipt of crew list by Immigration for any vessel
arriving from a foreign port, or arriving coast wise with detained crew.

24 Hours (minimum) - Foreign cargo must have manifest submitted to
Customs & Border Patrol AMS. Bond must be filed for Foreign flag vessels
or U.S. flag arriving with foreign cargo aboard. 24 Hours - advance
notice to Pilots

24 Hours - advance fax of crew list and approved visitors required by
Terminal.

72 Hours - post port call, the Port Authority requires bill of lading
figures for all bulk cargo.

Port Security - All persons doing business within Port Authority property
must have security pass from SCPA. All persons wanting unescorted access
to any vessel must have a valid TWIC.

Coast Guard exercise will close section of Wando River

The Coast Guard warned boaters to avoid a section of the Wando River as it
conducts training next week.

The zone from Interstate 526 north to Horlbeck Creek will be enforced at
the following times:

• 7-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-4:30 p.m. March 19-21
• 7-11:30 a.m., 12:30-4:30 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. March 22
• 7-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-3 p.m. March 23

Coast Guard boats will use their blue lights and sirens during those
periods, and all other vessels are prohibited from the area.

If necessary, however, mariners can request access by contacting the
Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Safety Platform at "SAFETY 1" on
VHF-FM channels 16 or 22A.

Anyone with questions should call Lt. Cmdr. Marcus Gherardi at 746-7955
between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. After hours, contact
the Port Charleston captain at 740-7050.
